Disclaimer:
WildlifeEDU has no way of determining which students have the necessary permits for wildlife rehabilitation. Persons who want to learn about wildlife rehabilitation and those seeking education while training to become a wildlife rehabilitator are not banned from taking any courses.
Some techniques taught in the courses are not lawful for an individual to perform in some states, while the same techniques may be lawful for a permitted wildlife rehabilitator to perform in other states. The use of some equipment described is unlawful for an individual to possess or use in some states, while the use of the same equipment may be lawful for a permitted wildlife rehabilitator to perform in other states.
It is up to the student to ensure that the information learned here is used in accordance with the state laws and regulations in which the student resides.
Permitting and Licensure:
Wildlife rehabilitation is a permitted activity regulated by state wildlife agencies and, in the case of migratory birds, the US Fish and Wildlife Service.
Each state has its own requirements for granting permits or licenses for wildlife rehabilitation.
Regulations differ from one area to another, and not all jurisdictions allow for the rehabilitation of all species. It is the student’s responsibility to learn and follow the laws pertaining to your locality.
The student understands that purchasing, enrolling in, and successful completion of any course does not give the student authority to possess, capture or rehabilitate wildlife.
The student understands that receiving a certificate upon successful completion of any course is not considered a permit, license or certification. Permits and licensure must be obtained through the state agency in which you reside. Additional permits are required through the US Fish and Wildlife Service for possession and rehabilitation of Migratory birds.
Continuing Education Credits
On successful completion of each course, the student is awarded a certificate of completion for that course. The certificate of completion state the number of hours estimated for completing the course.
WildlifeEDU certificates have been accepted by many states as continuing education credits for wildlife rehabilitation permittees and capture and transport permittees.
WildlifeEDU and RCWC do not guarantee that any individual entity will accept any certificate as credit toward continuing education requirements. It is the student’s responsibility to determine whether the student’s state agency governing permits will accept WildlifeEDU training certificates as continuing education credit hours.
Red Creek will refund the enrollment fee for any courses purchased in the past 30 days that have not been accessed. Once a course has been started, it can not be refunded.
